Various Roads in the District of Tandridge - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order No.2 2020

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to: 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: a) That length of D408 Caterfield Lane, Crowhurst that extends from a point 50m southwest of its junction with Chellows Lane to a point 50m north-east of the “Caterfield Railway Bridge”. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via C85 Dwelly Lane, C87 Haxted Road, D408 Crowhurst Road and D408 Pike Lane. b) The entire length of D1427 Manor Avenue, Caterham. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via B2030 Church Road, C70 Stanstead Road, D1427 Park Avenue and D1427 Manor Avenue. c) That length of C91 Hollow Lane, Dormansland that extends from its junction with Mutton Hill to its junction with the access road to “Lullenden Lodge”. Vehicular traffic will be diverted via Shepherds Grove Lane, A264 Holtye Road, A264 Hotlye Road, C90 Sandhawes Hill, C90 Wilderwick Road, C90 High Street, Dormansland and C91 Hollow Lane. d) The entire length of Little Lullenden, Lingfield; vehicular traffic will be diverted via D409 Saxbys Lane, D408 Station Road and D471 Selbys Road. e) The entire length of D1357 Landscape Road, Warlingham; vehicular traffic will be diverted via D1357 Westhall Road and D1357 Narrow Lane. 2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council Caterfield Lane (D408), Crowhurst/Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order No.2 2019” in its entirety.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable highway surface treatments, resurfacing, maintenance and/or improvement works on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 14 November 2020. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, pedestrians and; dismounted cyclists and equestrians at all times. Access for residents and businesses on the affected lengths of road described in parts 1.a) to 1.e) to this notice, will be via the diversion routes described above. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner.
