Hollow Lane Road Closure/Diversion

Surrey County Council propose to make the Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to -
1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the following lengths of road -
(b) that length of Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland as extends from its junction with (D412) Mutton Hill to its junction with the access to the property known as "West Lodge". Alternative Route – Mutton Hill; High Street; and Hollow Lane or this same route in reverse.

This Order, which will commence on 26 January 2022 for a period of 12 months is required because works are being, or are proposed to be, executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of BT Openreach, including but not limited to: overhead cabling maintenance and replacement works and/or overhead fibre connection cabling works. The works in part 1(b) are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm commencing 28 January 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained when safe to do so via operatives on site, as will access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians.
