NOTICE OF VACANCY FOR A PARISH COUNCILLOR
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 87 (2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that three casual vacancies has occurred for Councillors for the Parish of Dormansland following the resignation of: Mr Guy Kaiser – Davies Mr Richard Cornish and Mr Clive Robinson.
As required by law, a notice of the vacancies was posted allowing for a by-election to be held if 10 or more voters request it. No such requests have been received by the District Council and applications are now invited to fill the vacancies by co-option.

Who is eligible?
Any person over the age of 18, who is a citizen of the United Kingdom, The European Union, or the Commonwealth AND is either a registered elector in the parish, works in the parish, or lives in or within three miles of the parish (during the whole of the last twelve months). Applicants must not be debarred from standing as a Councillor.

Completed application forms should be returned to the Clerk via email.
CLOSING DATE for applications: 5pm on Thursday 6th July 2022.
Any applications received after this date will not be considered.
PLEASE NOTE: public elections will be held in 2023, but for the interim period co-option to Dormansland Parish Council will be voted for by the present sitting number of Councillors at the Parish Council meeting on 12th July 2022 which candidates will be invited to attend.
